Playing the game
Is Runner Gacha free?
Yes. The full game — every difficulty mode, all 74 skins, the gacha wheel, achievements and the leaderboard — is free to play in your browser. Optional coin packs exist as a shortcut, but nothing in the game is locked behind them.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Runner Gacha runs in any modern browser on desktop, tablet or phone. It is also a Progressive Web App, so you can add it to your home screen from your browser's share menu and launch it like a native app.
Do I need an account?
No. The game is fully playable signed out, and your progress is saved in your browser. An account only adds cross-device sync, the leaderboard and the friends/duels features.
Can I play offline?
The core game loads and runs without a connection once it has been opened, but leaderboard, friends and account sync obviously need one.
What are the controls?
Tap the screen or press Space / ↑ to jump; press again while airborne for a double jump. P pauses, G opens the gacha wheel, S opens the shop. Full details are in the how to play guide.
Coins, gacha and progress
What are the gacha drop rates?
Common 75%, Rare 20%, Epic 4%, Legendary 0.7%, Mythic 0.3% per spin. The gacha guide breaks down what those numbers mean in practice.
How does the pity system work?
Every 75 spins in a category guarantees a Legendary from that category. The counter is per category (player, background, obstacle) and is displayed live under the wheel. It is hard pity — the odds do not improve as you approach the threshold, the guarantee simply fires at 75.
How do I earn coins without paying?
Collect coins during runs (worth 1×, 2× or 3× depending on difficulty), claim the daily reward, complete achievements (over 1,400 coins in total), and optionally watch rewarded ads for +50 coins.
I lost my progress. Can I get it back?
If you were playing signed out, progress lives only in your browser's local storage — clearing site data, using private browsing, or switching device or browser will lose it, and we have no copy to restore. If you were signed in, sign in again on any device and your progress will sync down. Creating an account is the only way to protect your progress.
Do skins give a gameplay advantage?
Almost all of them are purely cosmetic. Two mythic skins carry abilities: Time Rift grants one revival per run, and Reality Wall changes obstacle behaviour. That is the complete list.
Ads, payments and privacy
Why do I see ads?
Ads pay for hosting and development, which is what keeps the game free. Runner Gacha shows ads through Google AdSense. There is also an optional "Watch Ad" button that rewards you with coins — that one is entirely your choice and never interrupts a run.
Can I control ad personalisation?
Yes. The consent banner shown on your first visit sets whether Google and its partners may use cookies to personalise ads. You can change your answer at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, or by visiting Google My Ad Center. If you decline, you will still see ads — they will just be non-personalised.
What data does the game collect?
Signed out: game progress in your browser's local storage, plus whatever Google AdSense collects to serve ads. Signed in: additionally your email address, display name and synced progress. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email contact@runnergacha.com from the address on the account and we will delete it, along with the associated progress and leaderboard entries, within 30 days. To clear local progress, clear site data for runnergacha.com in your browser settings.
Is there an age requirement?
Runner Gacha is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Accounts require you to be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country). See the Terms of Service.
Are coin purchases refundable?
Coins are a virtual in-game item with no real-world value and purchases are generally final. Where consumer law in your country grants a right of withdrawal, that right applies — contact us and we will honour it.
Technical
The game is slow or the audio is stuttering.
Close other tabs, disable heavyweight browser extensions, and make sure hardware acceleration is enabled in your browser. On older phones, Easy mode renders fewer simultaneous obstacles and will run more smoothly.
Nothing loads / the screen stays black.
An ad blocker or strict privacy setting can occasionally block scripts the page needs. Try allowlisting runnergacha.com, or reload with a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac).
Which browsers are supported?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and Samsung Internet, on desktop and mobile. The game needs HTML5 canvas, Web Audio and local storage, all of which those browsers provide.
